To ensure that it hits the ground running after the May 29 hand-over, President-elect,
President-electm Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has commenced the process of putting together his cabinet.
It is believed that the President-elect has directed governors elected on the platform of his party, the All Progressives Congress, to forward the names of their ministerial nominees.
The governors on their part, have started responding by sending three names each.
However, Buhari stated some criteria that should be met by the governors when nominating people for the appointment.
The first condition being that the candidates must be technically competent and of proven integrity while the second condition is that the nominee must be loyal to the party.
Buhari was also reported to have inadvertently laid emphasis on the need to submit the names of founding members of the party and not defectors from other political parties.
