‘I’m not seeking asylum’ – Diezani says she’s not running away from Nigeria
Contary to news being circulated this morning that Alison-Madueke is seeking asylum in any foreign country, she says she has no such plans.
Following the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan at the presidential election, it was widely believed that the Petroleum Minister, who is one of those closest to him, will flee the country, to avoid being prosecuted.
Earlier on Tuesday, it had been reported that she was denied asylum by six countries where she had so far applied.
However, Diezani Alison-Madueke, says she is not seeking asylum in any part of the world, as being claimed by her detractors.
Speaking through the Group Public Affairs General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Ohi Alegbe, on Tuesday, she denied ever entertaining the thoughts of relocating from Nigeria.
